Gluten Free Pumpkin Recipes

This gluten free pumpkin recipe roundup is full of cozy, delicious and healthy options. I've included plenty of paleo pumpkin recipes too!

Pumpkin, pumpkin, pumpkin!!! It’s hard to go anywhere right now without seeing something pumpkin spiced or hashtagged #PSL. 😉

And for good reason! Nothing screams fall like the iconic pumpkin. It’s delicious, easy to find, and very affordable this time of year.

If you're gluten free or paleo, don't feel like you have to miss out!

Today I'm sharing a gluten free pumpkin recipe roundup with some of my all time favorites. And don't worry, I've included plenty of paleo pumpkin recipes as well!

I hope you find a new fall favorite.

Is pumpkin healthy?

Did you know that pumpkin contains more than 200 percent of your recommended daily intake of vitamin A, which aids in eyesight especially in low-light conditions? It’s also an amazing source of fiber, which aids in digestion, weight-loss and heart health.

While some pumpkin treats may not be so healthy, pumpkin itself is full of nutrition!

It contains vitamin K, vitamin C, potassium, vitamin E, iron, folate and more! Pumpkin is also excellent for your skin and immune system and, due to its beta-carotene, it may even help prevent metabolic syndrome.

Gluten Free Pumpkin Recipe Roundup

Now that we've established that pumpkin is something we should all be eating more of, let's get to the delicious (gluten free) pumpkin recipes!

1.) Pumpkin Spice Latte from Against All Grain

I'm mostly a tea drinker by I just may have to make an exception for this homemade PSL! Unlike many coffee shop versions, it contains actual pumpkin

I actually think this would be delicious made with strong brewed chai tea instead of coffee as well.

You could even use her PLS blend mixed with some milk for a fall treat for the kids! So many pumpkin-y possibilities…

2.) Pumpkin Seeds 5 Ways from The Food Network

How to Roast Pumpkin Seeds

Learn how to roast pumpkin seeds (that actually taste good) once and for all!

I love this recipe from The Food Network because they include 5 easy variations within the recipe. This is just the kind of inspiration that will give you ideas for how to create your own version!

3.) Gluten-Free Spiced Pumpkin Pancake Recipe from fANNEtastic foods

We LOVE weekend pancakes in our house and I get a little giddy whenever I find a new healthy version to try.

This pumpkin version is full of healthy fats and protein and is naturally sweetened with banana so it's delicious with or without maple syrup. In addition to being a gluten free pumpkin recipe, these are totally paleo as well!

4.) Paleo Pumpkin and Carrot Muffins from nom nom paleo

The addition of Chinese 5 spice powder is what really drew me to this recipe. It's such a creative way to add deep, fall flavor perfect for this time of year. Make a double batch and stock your freezer!

(Psst! Looking for more fall muffins? Give my Chai Spiced Zucchini Muffins a try! They've been a major hit on our meal plans!)

5.) Pumpkin Overnight Steel Cut Oatmeal by Confessions of an Overworked Mom

If you include oats in your diet, these pumpkin overnight steel cut oats are a must-make! Steel cut oats take a while to cook but these cook in the slow cooker, making them perfect for busy mornings. Make sure to buy gluten free oats if you're gluten free!

If you're paleo and don't do oats, give my Paleo Oatmeal w/ Coconut and Flax a try! Stir in some pumpkin and swap maple for the honey for more of a fall twist.

6.) 20 Minute Pumpkin Soup from The Kitchn

Ever since my culinary school internship days when I was frequently in charge of soup, I've had a soft spot for pureed soups.

This pumpkin soup from The Kitchn is at the top of my list of must-make recipes. I love a good sweet and savory combo! This soup's hint of maple syrup combined with garlic and fresh thyme fits the bill!

The fact that this soup comes together in just 20 minutes is of course a huge bonus!

7.) Chicken Pumpkin Curry Sliders from PaleOMG

Three cheers for savory pumpkin recipes! These look both simple and unique at the same time and would be wonderful as part of a spread for a fall party. Alternatively, serve them with a green salad for a simple fall dinner.

8.) Pumpkin Ice Cream Recipe from Scratch Mommy

You know I love a good “nice” cream so I was excited to see this pumpkin version! It's completely dairy-free, made with coconut milk and pumpkin puree. This one does require an ice cream maker, but that just might be a worthwhile purchase given how good this looks….

9.) Pumpkin “Dessert” with Pecan Topping (Single Serving) from Coco's Paleo Kitchen

I couldn't leave this pumpkin dessert off the list! It just gives me all the cozy fall vibes, without a ton of sugar. (Sweetener is actually totally optional for this one!)
